Some general information about Jimmy's Cypress
products:
- Jimmy's Cypress mainly sells #2 Common grade
cypress, which is very suitable for most building
project. We also offer Select grade and Pecky
grade for certain 1" thick products. Our cypress is
graded according to National Hardwood Lumber Association
(NHLA) rules. These rules are outlined in the "Rules for
the Measurement and Inspection of Hardwood & Cypress"
available from the NHLA.
- Our cypress is sold in random lengths from 6' to 16'
unless specified otherwise. Generally, 10'-12'-14'-16'
lengths are the most common. Rough sawn 4x4 to 12x12
beams (which are custom cut for your job) are available
up to 16' long, and sometimes up to 24'.
- We dry our cypress to a moisture content of
approximately 15% except beams and custom sawn items
which will be freshly sawn, wet wood.
